Core Inflation (YoY)

The core consumer price index published by Statistics Indonesia is a measure of price movements by how to compare the retail prices of a representative basket of goods and services, excluding taxes and energy. Inflation reduces the purchasing power of Indonesian rupiah. The core CPI is an important indicator because the central bank uses this to set interest rates. In general, the high is considered positive (or bullish) for the rupiah, while the low is considered negative (or a downtrend).
